Job description

As a Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for proper preparation and safe execution of maintenance work on mechanical installations and structures. You take care of the complete process, from making construction parts in the workshop to assembling them in the factory.

Your key responsibilities

You independently carry out assignments and monitor quality, safety, and inventory.

Independently prepare and execute assignments. Based on work specifications, instructions, and drawings, you prepare assignments and choose the right method, technique, and material to ensure the work is executed safely.

Check quality and perform follow-up work. You assess the quality of your own work, make adjustments where necessary, and perform subsequent checks, inspections, and periodic repairs and/or replacements.

Safety monitoring. You identify and report unsafe situations, comply with legal standards, and follow established work, environmental, and safety regulations, instructions, and procedures according to the management system.

Inventory management. You keep track of available tools and equipment and alert in time for (upcoming) shortages.

Job requirements

Who are you?

You are communicative, work accurately, and have a hands-on approach. In addition, you have:

  • Secondary education working and thinking ability level

  • At least 3 years of work experience in a similar role, enabling you to work independently

  • VCA certificate and a category B driver’s license

  • Proficiency Dutch and English and/or German
